Collection: Kitito Wallpaper

Kitito was the very first wallpaper I ever designed.

It began in the garden of our home in Kenya during lockdown, when the world felt smaller and quieter, and I found myself returning to drawing. That garden became my sanctuary—a place to breathe, observe, and reconnect with nature. Every day brought something new: birds darting through the trees, vines tumbling over the veranda, and unexpected visitors helping themselves to whatever fruit they could find.

Among my favourite characters were the mousebirds.

With their scruffy feathered crests and endless curiosity, they seemed to be everywhere. They dust-bathed in the driveway, perched outside our bedroom window watching us go about our day, and competed with the resident vervet monkeys for the bananas growing near the washing line. They were funny, chaotic and completely irresistible.

Kitito is my love letter to that garden.

Every leaf, flower and bird has been drawn by hand, inspired by the extraordinary colour and life that surrounded us. Twisting tropical foliage, cascading blooms and playful birds come together to create a design that feels lush, joyful and full of personality.

The name Kitito comes from the area of the farm where we lived, but it also reflects what this design truly is: a collection of little moments, little memories and little details that together tell a much bigger story.
